Privacy Policy

1. Definitions

This Privacy Policy covers how High Valley Snow and Dirt llc, known hereafter as “Company”, processes the information from “Visitors” and “Customers,” who may be known hereafter as “you.” Customers are Visitors who have signed an electronic service agreement, or made a purchase, from Company’s website, www.highvalleysd.com, known hereafter as “Website,” and in so doing have also made a customer account on the Website. This account is also a WordPress account. WordPress is the website host and builder that was used to make Company’s website.

2. Information Website Collects

  1. WordPress Information. When you visit Company’s Website, anonymous information about you and/or your computer system and network connection may be gathered by WordPress, the hosting platform for the Website. Please see the WordPress privacy policy and privacy notice for details about how they process that and any additional information.
  1. Quote and Estimate Forms. When you submit a form to receive a quote or an estimate from Company, you may provide the following information:
    • Your Name
    • Your Phone Number
    • Your Email Address
    • Your Property or Business Address
    • Other Relevant Information about the Project
  1. Customer Accounts. When you make a purchase from the Website or make an account manually, you are creating a WordPress account that also performs as a Customer Account for the Company’s Website. You may provide the following information to Company when you create an account:
    • Your Name
    • Your Email
    • Your Phone Number
    • Your Billing Address
    • Your Property Address
    • Your profile photo (Gravatar), if you use one for your WordPress account.

Your account password will be securely stored in WordPress in accordance with their privacy policy.

  1. Payment Information. Any credit card or payment information provided by Customer during checkout is not stored on Company’s Website, but is instead securely hosted on Stripe’s servers as described in their Privacy Policy. How payment information is handled is described in WordPress’ Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice, and Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Company utilizes a secure payment page hosted by Stripe for online invoice payments.

3. How Website Uses Your Information

Website uses Visitor and Customer information in the following ways:

  1. Providing Services. Company and Website use your contact information in order to contact you about jobs and projects, for billing and invoicing, and for sending Customers photos of their property upon each completion of snow removal, if Customers request such service.

4. Sharing Information

Company does not share Visitor or Customer information with third parties, except as is described in the WordPress privacy policy and privacy notice.

5. Retention of Information

Company retains Visitor and Customer information for as long as is needed to provide service to them. Customer may close their WordPress account at anytime, thereby also closing their account in the Website. Such closure of a Customer’s account will immediately terminate/cancel any active services. Please see the Refund Policy for more information about the finality of sales.

6. Information Security

Nothing online is completely secure, but the Company and Website take reasonable steps to ensure Visitor and Customer information is protected, as does WordPress. Customers are responsible for making a secure password and limiting sensitive data they share when they create an account with Website/WordPress.

7. Deletion of Your Information

You may request that Company delete any information Company has about you at any time. However, that will be subject to the terms of the service agreement that you agree to when making a purchase through the Website.

8. Changes to Privacy Policy

Website’s Privacy Policy is subject to change, so please check in regularly for any updates.
